We have developed, and continue to develop, a wide variety of disability ministry curriculum to prayerfully apply to any class setting. We began by offering our “traditional” curriculum, which is our way of say it is PowerPoint-driven, for both adults and children. When we develop curriculum for adults, it is written for adults. We never “dumb down” any material and always seek to address adults as adults. Later, we introduced video-driven curriculum, where in addition to all of the other materials included in every package, we added a weekly video lesson for your group. Our entire catalog is available via our store, however, it could help to see everything in a different format, which is why we created our curriculum catalog!

Curriculum Overview

One common theme brought to our attention when teaching an adult disability ministry class is the desire to have material for adults.  Too often, adult disability ministries are forced to use curriculum meant for children.  Simply being affected by a disability does not mean an adult should be spoken to like a child.  Our adult curriculum is created with an adult audience in mind.

What’s Included in Traditional Curriculum?

When you see us refer to our traditional curriculum, the short version is that these series do not include a video lesson for each week.  We have prepared a themed series which is usually 4-5 weeks in length, all depending on the topic.  You will find an optional video to play which will help teach your group the series memory verse in ASL.

The traditional curriculum typically includes the following:

  • Weekly lessons: You receive one PowerPoint file for each lesson. The PowerPoint is set up in such a way as to allow you to add or remove slides as you see fit for your group.>Memory verse graphics: You receive a printable PDF, JPG, social media-sized graphics for the memory verse. The printable PDF and JPG are also offered as an 8 ½” x 11”.
  • Video teaching your group the memory verse in ASL
  • Leader’s Guide explaining each week’s lesson as well as potential activities.
  • Coloring pages for each week.
  • Word searches for each week.
  • Ability Ministry free resources.

What is included in the video-driven curriculum?

The video-driven curriculum contains everything you would normally receive in our traditional curriculum, except you get the bonus of a video for each week’s lesson.  These videos are perfect for helping start a discussion.  They have also proven to be beneficial for those new to leading a class.
