In August, Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, celebrated the official opening of the new Shine Suite, serving those affected by disability.  The Shine Suite is beyond impressive with quite a large footprint inside the building and the team at Southeast is praying for God to work in amazing ways as they reach the disability community for Christ.

One more addition to the Shine Suite was recently announced and that was adult disability ministry curriculum from Ability Ministry.

From the Shine Disability Ministry newsletter:

With the opening of the Shine Suite, a new curriculum was introduced for our Miracles Class, which meets each Sunday at 11:15 am. Starting in August, our students started weekly lessons from Ability Ministry, an independent Christian non-profit ministry which strives to enhance the lives of persons affected with disabilities. The primary mission for Ability is equipping and empowering disability ministry for churches, families, and individuals affected by disabilities to become who God has created them to be.

One of the ways they do achieve their mission is through the creation of interactive, Bible-focused curriculum for teens and adults. During the first month of weekly classes in the Shine Suite, our Miracles students worked through Ability’s “Be Strong” series. For September, students are learning from the “Be Healthy” series, while in October, the focus will turn to the “Be The Church” series.

The Shine Ministry team is thankful for the partnership with Ability Ministry and for the Gospel-focused team who is committed to ministering to individuals and families affected by disabilities.

“At Ability Ministry we celebrate every download. Every download means we are equipping churches and individuals with what they need to take the Gospel into all nations. Our curriculum is now being used in 38 states and 8 different countries. Praise God for that! Now while we celebrate each individual download there are some that put an extra smile on our faces,” said Ability Ministry President Ryan Wolfe.  “South East Christian Church using is no doubt one of those churches. They are leaders and pioneers in ministry. We are proud to partner with them and have their support.”
