Give God your weakness and He will give you His strength.

I have been attending “Man Challenge” at my church recently and this message was one of those that I not only needed to hear but one that somewhat collapsed me when I heard it.  Not to repeat the entire message, but the basic gist was that we are not only capable of being champions and warriors in our life and within the lives of those around but, but we are built for that very purpose.  Yet, it doesn’t always feel like it, right?  More times than not, we are stuck in a mode of just doing “Christian things” and checking items off of a list to hopefully make our walk with God closer than it was the day before.

That was when it all came crashing down on me.  You know that phrase,”it hit me like a ton of bricks”?  That is exactly what happened.  I have spent too many years of my life wanting to be strong, wanting to be that champion, yet I have been trying to do it all alone.  Today I learned that if we are really going to embrace the gifts and strengths that God has blessed us with, we have to humble ourselves and give our weaknesses to Him.

They are weak but He is strong.  Yes, Jesus loves me.

Pretty powerful words when you sit down to think about them, right?
