Fear is the emotion of alarm in reaction to a real or perceived danger or threat. The danger may be real (the shadow of a stranger outside your house, a car that is about to crash into you, etc.) or it may be imaginary (the creaking of a house, a scary moment in a movie, etc.), but the perception is real and defined. Fear is a normal part of life, even for Christians. Fear can be healthy. Fear is a God-given ability to detect and deal with danger. Fear can keep us safe like an inner warning system that alerts us when something is wrong.
