As God continues to bless this ministry, the Board of Directors has some very exciting news to share with you.

The Board has set apart Ryan Wolfe as the next President/Executive Director of Ability Ministry effective January 1, 2020. Ryan was hired a few years ago by our current Executive Director, Gary Spangler, as he developed a succession plan for the future. With Ryan, Gary found someone who could take us to a new level of evangelistic outreach for Christ as we follow Christ’s command of the Great Commission to the disability community.

Ryan has the knowledge, the experience, and the heart for those affected by disability. He is a sought-after speaker, co-author, former disability pastor and leader in helping churches reaching the #1 unreached people group in the world: people affected by disability. While on staff the past three years, Ryan has created incredible curriculum and worked with churches and missions around the world. Places like the U.S., Canada, Albania, South Africa, Uganda, Poland, the UK, Berlin, Ukraine, Taiwan, New Zealand, and India to help them navigate this emerging ministry.

With that said, Gary Spangler will remain on staff as Operations Officer to oversee our finances, federal and state compliances and maintaining residential campus operations.

The Board also announces new leadership in the Boardroom. Dr. Diane Junker, former Professor of Chemistry at Milligan College has accepted the call as Board Chair with Lynn Howard, Chief Human Resources Officer for PRGX Global becoming the Vice-chair. Drew Mentzer, former Sr. Pastor of Second Church of Christ in Danville, IL is the new Secretary and Scott Kent, Comptroller at Brunswick Corporation is our Treasurer.

Please pray for our leaders and organization as we continue to work to reach those affected by disability for Christ!

Because Jesus' table is accessible for everyone...

We desire to see the Church make room for all people affected by disability. To fully participate. To fully partner. To fully lead.

We exist to equip and empower the 25% of the population with a disability, their families, and their churches to become who God has created them to be.
